- The gentle kiss my husband Rob places on my sleepy cheek before he leaves for work in the morning.
- Seeing my 13-year-old lab Casey curled up behind me in her favorite chair while I sit working at my desk.
- The squeaking sound that comes from my dog Finley as he runs back and forth through the house, chomping his favorite stuffed shark or armadillo in his mouth.
- The grunts my BIG cat Monty lets out whenever he jumps down off of anything and hits the floor.
- The weight of my not-so-big cat Moby on my legs as I lay sleeping in bed. (Ok sometimes this annoys me and I kick and squirm and fidget until he gets the hint and moves, but mostly it makes me happy.)
- The random text messages I get from my sister throughout the day – on anything from how yummy potatoes are, to the awful lady who just cut her off in line and how she is texting me to keep from killing her!
- Sitting at my desk in the beautiful 100-year-old antique chair my husband bought for me. You know, the kind of chair that makes you want to sit down and write the next great American novel.
- Catching up with my favorite bloggers to find out what is new in their lives: like the mess they had to clean up when their dog mistook a roll of toilet paper for an apple, or how on the train ride into work they discovered they really hate wearing skirts, or YEAH! They are having a giveaway today!
- Talking to a friend or family member on the phone that knows me well enough to tell by the sound of my voice that I am not feeling well, and loves me enough not to have to ask what is wrong.
- The moments throughout the day when I forget I have Fibromyalgia, when I am just the same old Dannette, without pain or limitations. Sometimes those moments happen when I am watching T.V. or reading a book, or when Rob and I are having an intimate conversation. But often they come when I am writing. So this blog is going to make me very happy!

Thanks Mand. Glad you enjoyed it.
It was incredibly fun for me to sit down and list off 10 things that make me happy. It is a fun and uplifting little exercise.
You should try it, and if you do come back here and share. I would love to read about what makes you happy.
