Dannette Mason Rusnak

Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 1997, I have been learning to live well with it ever since. The first step was accepting that my life would be different. Then I had to learn to embrace the new me, and all that I still have to offer. It hasn’t been easy, but I hope that by writing about my journey, you will feel more understood, and recognize that you are valuable, and you are not alone.

My goal is to one day live a symptom free life – free of the constraints of Fibromyalgia. My goal is to share my story with others with Fibromyalgia, in the hopes that something I write may inspire and encourage you. My goal is to be an advocate to everyone living with Fibromyalgia and chronic illness, and to raise awareness and understanding of Fibromyalgia. And most importantly, my goal is to support everyone living with Fibromyalgia, and to create a community to help alleviate isolation.

To help me attain my goals, I have created FibroHaven Support Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping people diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and related chronic illnesses. It is my hope that FibroHaven Support Foundation will help spread awareness and bring visibility to the more than 10 million patients currently living with Fibromyalgia. My vision for FHSF is to have local and online support available to Fibromyalgia, CFS/ME, & chronic illness patients. My journey is just beginning. Stick with me and watch it grow.

Hi– I’m another fibroblogger, and I happened across your page. I wanted to let you know that National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness week is coming up, which tries to spread awareness about illnesses like fibro. I’m going to be blogging for Invisible Illness Week, and thought I’d spread the word in case you were interested!

Thanks Chris! That means a lot coming from you. I am very happy with the new logo. We worked with our friend Vince who is a designer specializing in logos. I had an idea of what I wanted, and he took it and exceeded my expectations.
