Since you mentioned in another comment you are in San Diego, you may be interested in a research study my support group is involved in. It is beginning in June, so there is still time to sign up. Here are the details:

FIBROMYALGIA RESEARCH STUDY: Volunteers needed to participate in a research study investigating the effects that gentle yoga or cognitive coping skills may have in the treatment of Fibromyalgia Syndrome. The yoga program is restorative in nature, involving gentle stretching and relaxation. It will be led by a certified yoga instructor with experience in dealing with chronic illnesses and pain. The cognitive coping skills program will help participants develop more awareness of thoughts regarding their symptoms and teach them tools to cope with their symptoms and it will be co-led by clinical psychology graduate students. Participation in the study is for 8 weeks, with the yoga group meeting twice a week and the cognitive coping skills group meeting once a week. Participants must have been diagnosed by a physician with Fibromyalgia Syndrome, be female, and be between 18-70 years of age. If you or someone you know may be interested in participating, or would like more information, please contact A-Lisa Miles, M.S. at fmresearchstudy@hotmail.com or call 760-809-1325.

Your post is 100% true. I have done Bikram's Yoga for awhile and it makes my body feel great. It's just so expensive I can't do it consistantly. Bikram's Yoga is done in a heated room and the poses are all for beginners.
